Why Massage therapy and movement?

Mobility

Previous surgeries, injuries or the general process of ageing can lead to a decrease in mobility. Massage therapy can help increase circulation, relax the nervous system and increase muscle elasticity encouraging an increase in mobility. Therapeutic exercise is applied in combination with massage to optimise your movement and mobility.

Injury prevention

Massage therapy aids in keeping muscle tension at an optimal level via relaxing the nervous system and increasing blood flow to problem areas. In conjunction with therapeutic exercise, massage can help prevent injuries caused by overworked and stressed muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Injury recovery

Recovering from injuries or surgery can be a long and sometimes painful process. Massage therapy can help promote healing in previously injured or post surgical areas and in turn reduce pain and increase mobility. Massage can complement your injury rehabilitation.
